Public displays of affection, commonly known as PDA, are those romantic, affectionate acts you do with your partner in the presence of other people. While you have ample freedom to do whatever you want as lovers, if you have to embrace public displays of affection, make sure all you do is consensual.
Here are some dos and don'ts of PDA:
DO: Hold hands
Holding hands is a nice bit of PDA to remind each other about your presence. It is also an excellent way to guide each other in crowded spaces.
DO: Have a charming little goodbye.
Being in love can and is hard to control. At the moments when you are set to be parted, a cute hug or a peck on the lips or cheek is enough PDA.
DON'T: Make out, we did not ask for that
DO: Look out for/comfort each other.
Holding hands to comfort each other in public is normal, it’s not rude or makes noone uncomfortable.
DON’T: Give food to each other in restaurants
Sorry, but this is the truth; nobody is interested in seeing your public displays of affection, particularly when feeding each other in public places.
DON’T: Get in other people’s way
While it is perfectly okay to display your relationship publicly, it should happen without obstructing others.
DO: Cuddle during a picnic or on the grass at the park.
DON'T: Get down and dirty under the picnic blanket. No, no.
When it comes to public affection display, there are a few things you can do and others that ought to be saved for the heat of the bedroom. Well, there you have it.
