Where were you born?
I was born in Armenia, and immigrated to America when I was six.

Where do you live now?
I travel a lot, and try to split my time between Los Angeles and New York when I’m not traveling.

In one sentence what is unique about your work?
It is different every day.

Why do you do what you do?
I LOVE meeting people, and in my particular field I get to meet experts in every industry -- truly passionate people who are ambitious, determined, and fascinating. And to be able to share their stories is exciting for me.

What inspires you?
Travel inspires me the most. For starters, the day before a trip I am the most productive, ever. But mostly, meeting people, and seeing new places feeds my soul. I often travel with groups of other journalists and publicists who, most of the time, I have not met before. There’s such an amazing connection you make with these colleagues and the people you meet along the way. There are these once in a lifetime experiences that you share with each other, and it’s super special to me.

Describe your personal style.
I would describe my style as minimalistic, and understated. For instance, I appreciate when others wear lots of accessories, but I rarely do. I’ll wear a watch regularly, and I have a couple of statement rings I love to wear, as well as a few bracelets, and necklaces, but never at the same time, and it’s always the same things in rotation. And, I can only wear real jewelry, because the smell of metal in costume jewelry bothers me (I swear I’m not making this up). In general, I prefer to have a few things that are quality made, and long lasting. When I find something I like I tend to buy it in every color, or two of the exact same thing, because I will wear it over, and over again. And, lastly I am obsessed with shoes. I think that’s the one item I take risks on and am usually edgier with.

Your ultimate must-have.
I love leather. My must-have(s) are a leather moto jacket, and high waisted leather skirt – not paired together of course.

What superpower would you have and why?

I’d love to have the power to heal. There’s nothing more I want to do than hug someone who’s hurting emotionally, and to be able to cure their pain would be awesome. Can I have another superpower? I’d also dream to travel back in time. There are lots of instances I’d love to relive, and a few I’d love to do differently.

What is next for you?
I am working on my first exclusive feature for a major publication. It will be two pages in print! Another project I’ve been working on for years is a memoir on a difficult past relationship. I have documented a lot of it, and am looking forward to taking the next steps.
