Occupation: Visual artist / drawing, painting and sculptor

Personal background (where were you born?): I was born in Switzerland. Later, I lived and worked in Berlin. Now I live partly in Paris and partly in the Swiss countryside.

In one sentence what is unique about your work? My work deals with the undefined, with sensuality, and with the interaction between strength and fragility.

Why do you do what you do? In the first place, creating is not a choice, it's just an energy that would burn me if I didn't use it. And in the second place, my activity gives meaning to my life.

What inspires you? Everything that surrounds me, people, nature, politics, art history, mythology, literature... I feel the need to grasp through art everything that touches or disturbs me in my daily life, in my travels.... One of my works is entitled “Can’t Turn a Blind Eye”. I think that sums up my artistic attitude.

Describe your personal style. Gentle and violent. Luminous and serious.

Your ultimate must-have. Sincerity in love, friendship and art.

What superpower would you have and why? The right humor for every situation in life! More seriously, the power to put an end tonuclear waste, which I think is the only thing that can't be erased... not for 100.000 years!

What is next for you? I'm working on a number of projects, including a series of drawings from the photographs of Diane Arbus and Robert Mapplethorpe.
