That’s right the world is finally coming to its senses. Uncork those champagne bottles, let’s celebrate. Barbara Pompili, the French environment minister announced the “change of attitude towards animals.” While it sounds promising, the minister did say the change may take “the years to come”.
Actress Brigitte Bardot, the long time animal advocate and her charity tweeted “ Immense thanks” to Pompili.
30 million charity supporters also expressed the excitement, but hoping for the change to take place sooner.
The measures are resisted by the French fur industry reports Fashion Network.
And that’s not all the good news for today. France is also banning the use of animals in Circus and Marine Parks. “It’s time to open a new era in our relationship with these animals”, Pompili said.
