Marta Ortega takes the reins at ZARA. The daughter of Amacio Ortega will take over the retailer and its 6,500 shops from Pablo Isla, who had run the group since Marta's father retired in 2011.
"We've been preparing for this transition for a while," said Isla at the time. "Marta has been working in the company for 15 years ... she knows it very well".

FILA partners with Barneys New York.

A collaborative collection Fila designed together with luxury department store Barney New York will include six shoe styles for men and women. “Barneys is a brand with a rich history, known for its unique collaborations,” said Ber-tia Barron, vice president of brand, luxe at Authentic Brands Group (ABG), owner of Barneys New York in a release. Barron added: “We are excited to bring these two distinguished brands together again.”

PANGAIA has unveiled the world’s first shirts made from Infinna

Fabric created entirely from textile waste. The new concept T-shirt launches on April 5. Infinna is a regenerated textile fibre that has a soft and natural look and feel of cotton.

CHANEL prohibits sale to Russia and Russians. The company stated it will only sell to Russians leaving abroad.

As part of a new globala strategic partnership fashion platform Farfetch will invest Neiman Marcus Group (NMG). “I believe the US luxury market is at a pivotal point,” said José Neves, the founder, chair and CEO of Farfetch.

Vogue Eyewear co-designed collection with model Hailey Bieber, who is the eyewear brand's new ambassador and creative partner. The inspiration for Vogue is “every facet of her personality”. BURBERRY launches a high-profile campaign for its Lola bag. Creative chief Riccardo Tisci says is an “ode to strong women the world over”. “For the campaign, I really wanted to celebrate that attitude and all of the facets that make up the Burberry woman, so we created a fantasy world where she is free to exhibit her strength and be captured in all of her beauty from every angle”

H&M features GIGI HADID in their latest campaign. a film called Hôtel Hennes, “a fictional fashion destination, inspired by legendary art hotels, where artists, thinkers and icons hung out, collaborated, and completed residencies”. H&M said it’s “a place where aesthetics are exaggerated and experimental, where stories can twist and turn, where dreams are made, and where fashion has no rules”.
