Monday night Hammerstein Ballroom hosted CFDA Fashion Awards. Queen of surprises, Beyonce took home the coveted Fashion Icon Award from CFDA. Global superstar made a surprise appearance with her husband Jay Z and adorable Blue Ivy Carter wearing $9 million worth of diamonds sparkling pinstripes suit.

"As long as I can remember, fashion has always been a part of my life," Beyonce said in her speech.
"When we were starting out in Destiny's Child, high-end labels, they didn't really want to dress four black, country curvy girls", "And we couldn't afford designer dresses and couture. My mother ... used her talent and her creativity to give her children their dreams putting so much passion and love into every detail. It felt like an extra suit of armor. It was so much deeper than any brand name."
Past Fashion Icon honorees include Pharrell Williams, Johnny Depp, Lady Gaga, Iman, Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Kidman and, perhaps most famously, Rihanna in a nearly naked Adam Selman dress.
