Prince died earlier today (April 21) at age 57 at his Paisley Park home and studio, his publicist confirmed. TMZ first reported the news. One of the most iconic musicians in music history, Prince's extensive career grew out of the music scene of his native Minneapolis. Prince arrived on the scene in the late Seventies, and it didn’t take long for him to upend the music world with his startling music and arresting demeanor. Over his 35-plus-year career, he released 39 solo studio albums and never stopped releasing new material.
His death comes almost one week after the iconic singer left fans very concerned about his health by making an emergency landing in Illinois.
