This Chinese competitive swimmer and backstroke specialist just broke the internet. Fu won a bronze medal in the 100 metre backstroke at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. Following this medal, her cheerful interviews and goofy demeanor made her very popular. A few days later, after her lackluster performance in the 4x100m medley relay, she admitted being on her period; many has commended her decision to openly speak about this, menstruation being considered a taboo topic both in sports and in China.
