In an interview with the German newspaper Tagesspiegel ARTIST Marina Abramovic revealed why she refused to become a mother since youth: the artist believes that having children would put an end to her career.
"I made three abortion because I was sure that it (the birth of the child) would be a disaster for my work, - explained Abramovich. - The human body has a limited amount of energy, and I would have to share it. " Artist also pointed out that the specifics of her work involves constant travel that does not really fit in with family life: "I have my work. I can not send [the exhibition] now, I send myself ... Over the past year I have stayed in New York, no more than 20 days. I can hardly remember where to pick up my luggage from at the airports. "
She believes that women are not less talented than men, but rarely succeed in the arts because they are not willing to sacrifice family life and the traditional role of mother.
