The Venice Biennale a periodical large-scale cultural event founded in 1895, served as an archetype of the biennales. A world fair focused on contemporary art, the Venice Biennale used as a pretext the wedding anniversary of the Italian king and followed up to several national exhibitions organized after Italy unification in 1861.
The 56th International Art Exhibition titled All The World’s Futures, curated by Okwui Enwezor and organized by la Biennale di Venezia chaired Paolo Baratta, is open to the public from Saturday, May 9th to Sunday, November 22nd, 2015 at the Giardini and the Arsenale venues in Venice, Italy.
The Golden Lion for Best National Participation was received by the Republic of Armenia Armenity / Haiyutioun. Contemporary artists from the Armenian Diaspora. Dedicated to Armenian people where every participating artist concentrated on a specific region.
The Golden Lion for the Best Artist in the International Exhibition All the World’s Futures was received by American Adrian Piper.
