“Never say never,” Jolie told People about taking her longtime advocacy work to the next level.

She recently addressed the U.N. Peacekeeping Ministerial in New York for the first time, giving a speech about the importance of involving women in the peacekeeping process. “If we went by the principle that those affected by a problem should be in charge of determining the solution, then the majority of the world’s peace negotiators, foreign ministers, and diplomats would be women,” she said. “There can be no peace and stability in Afghanistan or anywhere else in the world that involves trading away the rights of women.”

16-year old teen climate change activist Greta Thunberg has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Greta Ernman Thunberg is a Swedish political activist seeking to stop global warming and climate change.
In August 2018, she became a prominent figure for starting the first school strike for climate, outside the Swedish parliament building.

The 16-year-old was nominated by three Norwegian MPs.

If she were to win, she would be the youngest recipient since Pakistan's Malala Yousafzai, who was 17 when she received the prize.

Ms Thunberg tweeted she was "honoured" to receive the nomination:

Greta has been missing lessons most Fridays to stage her regular protests.

She continued to gain international attention after speaking at the UN Climate Talks in Poland in December and at the World Economic Forum in Davos in January.

"On climate change, we have to acknowledge that we have failed," she told global economic leaders in Davos.

According to Nobel's will, the Peace Prize shall be awarded to the person who in the preceding year "shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses".
