Pat McGrath and John Galliano are revitalizing runway beauty.

Maison Margiela’s Spring 2024 Couture presentation was memorable to say the least, but success extends beyond the designer alone. The couture collection for Maison Margiela in Paris owed much of its allure to Pat McGrath's expertise.

She played a pivotal role, creating makeup looks evocative of porcelain dolls with luminous glass skin and daring eyeshadow adorning their lids. The models at Maison Margiela’s Couture SS24 show in Paris breathed life into a long-forgotten aesthetic, reminiscent of the runways of John Galliano’s Dior, where McGrath also left the mark.

Did you know that in the early 2000s, John Galliano and Pat McGrath formed an unbeatable duo in the realm of luxury fashion. Galliano Creative Director at LVMH’s Christian Dior at the time, and McGrath onboard to oversee beauty at nearly every Couture show he presented, their collaboration dominated the industry, and rightfully so. Some of the iconic looks were created by the duo. Both artists are committed to their craft and consistently astound, leaving an indelible mark on the enchanting realm of fashion.
