Demna Gvasalia goes for theatrical theme with heavy drapes for the Paris-based fashion house of Balenciaga. The campaign is shot by Harley Weir and features models wearing skin-tight leggings with high-heel boots in pin, lilac and red colors, finishing the look with a black hooded cape and woold suit.
“Inspired by the tactile, stretch-to-fit properties of Spandex, enhanced pop-florals and the house codes, such as rainwear, her photography places the Balenciaga woman in an imaginary space, a place of avant-garde pleasures", according to the brand.
Lotta Volkova is a stylist for the campaign and often works with Gvasalia on both Balenciaga and Vetements.
