Where were you born?
I am Armenian ,but I was born in Moscow, Russia. Studied in London at University of the Arts, London College of Fashion. Got my BA in Fashion Design and Marketing and came back to Moscow. Worked as a fashion analyst at Fashion Consulting group, helped to develop Fashionsnoops.com in Russia and taught a course “Fashion forecasting” at the Higher School of Economics for the Stroganov Academy.

In one sentence what is unique about your work?
The connection between macro trends, fashion and art.
Why do you do what you do?
I know how fashion trends emerge. I know how to do fashion forecasting. I know macro trends and the connection between macro trends and fashion. Feminism and multiculturalism are one of those macro trends which I demonstrate in my art. I have been working as a fashion trend scout for almost 5 years and participated in multiple projects with Russian fashion brands, I taught people how to do fashion forecasting and now I am demonstrating it all on canvas.
What inspires you?
Women. Unpredictable, ever-changing and very hard to catch. Our inner world is crazy. We fight, we love, we succeed, we go up, we never give up but when you look at us you think that we are calm and cold. This is the true nature of a real woman. We do not show our emotions however our inner world is full of colors, shapes and textures, just like my art.
Describe your personal style.
I am a mixed media artist. Pens, paints, collages, jewelry, salt, even vodka - I use everything.
Also, my style is unique because I love to remake my art pieces. For example, I can create a painting by hand, then I take pictures of it and draw a completely new one digitally by using parts of the hand-made ones. I never throw away my paintings - I always give them a second chance. I do exactly the same thing with my fashion style. I love textures, shapes and colors. I never throw away my clothes. I always turn my sweaters into cardigans or make cut-out jeans!

What superpower would you have and why?
It took me a while to decide what it would be and I still haven’t come up with anything. I realized that I love myself the way I am - with my superpower art!
