Where does your story begin?

Maria: I've always had a deep passion for massage therapy! Despite my mom's belief that being a massage therapist wasn't a viable profession—I pursued economics at university—I continued to indulge in my love for massage, practicing on friends and family. Eventually, I enrolled in a massage and cosmetology school in Ukraine, honing my skills. Upon moving to the US, I took the leap to become a massage therapist here. To my delight, I found that services like anti-cellulite massages and skin tightening treatments are incredibly popular, and my expertise is in high demand!

What should we know about the work that you do?

Maria: My primary area of expertise lies in lymphatic drainage and anti-cellulite massages. Through extensive learning and practice, I've developed a highly effective technique specifically tailored for reducing cellulite and promoting lymphatic system cleansing.

Why bamboo?

Maria: Drawing from my extensive knowledge of various techniques, I've found that an anti-cellulite hand massage using bamboo sticks yields the most impressive results for skin tightening and cellulite reduction. By thoroughly warming up the tissues to enhance blood circulation in the targeted area, and then employing the bamboo stick method, I've witnessed significant improvements. It's important to clarify that this isn't wood therapy; it's a genuine hand massage, with the bamboo stick serving as a tool to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment.

Tell us about lymphatic drainage massage and why you are interested to do it professionaly?

Maria: Lymphatic drainage is essential for women's health, aiding in toxin removal, immune system enhancement, and even shedding excess inches. With its rise in popularity from Brazil to Hollywood, I sought out the expertise of Rebecca Faria, renowned as the massage therapist to the stars in Beverly Hills. After training with her, I can now offer her sought-after technique at my studios, providing everyone with access to the same treatments favored by Hollywood's elite.

What is the best part about your job?

Maria: I'm passionate about my work; it fuels my growth and propels me forward. I firmly believe in the pursuit of perfection without bounds. My clients, who consistently show loyalty and support, are invaluable to me. Together, when we achieve remarkable results, it brings joy to both them and myself.

What do you think made you successful in your career as a massage therapist?

Maria: I believe it's a blend of several factors: my unwavering passion for my craft, my honed skills that guide my approach with each client, and my relentless pursuit of perfection in every aspect of my work.

What does it take to balance work and family? How do you manage it?

Maria: Honestly, I see this as the phase where learning is ongoing. Balancing my three wonderful children, whose time is incredibly precious, with the demands of a growing business can be challenging. Nevertheless, I'm committed to doing my utmost to manage both effectively.

Who is your role model?

Maria: My role models are massage therapists who've not only built successful businesses but have also stayed committed to their craft.

What advice can you give to those who are just starting their business?

Maria: I'd suggest this: If you're passionate about your work, if you truly believe in its benefits for yourself and others, and if you feel energized while doing it, then you're headed in the right direction. Personally, I adore massages—I've experienced their effectiveness and know their benefits, and others can feel it too. That, to me, is already a success.
