Bottega Veneta Disappears from Social Media, But All Over Great China Wall
Did you know that the Great Wall of China is occupied by Bottega Veneta's Logo and characters 新春快乐, in translation Happy New Year? Yes, in honor of Chinese New Year, the Kering-owned brand is donating to the Shanhai Pass.
It looks like the brand is experiementing all kinds of marketing, including removing themselves from all the social media channels.
Why? According to Kering chief executive François-Henri Pinault aka Salma Hayek's boyfriend, the brand wants to allow social media users to drive the conversation around the brand and not the brand doing so.
