Where were you born? 
I was born on a homestead in rural 
Wisconsin where my parents grew all 
of our food, but I grew up in Boulder, 
Colorado.

In one sentence what is unique about 
your work? 
There is a vivid, ethereal quality to 
it that allows the viewer to see the 
beauty in anything.

Why do you do what you do?  
I love exploring the world and capturing
true beauty, whether that’s a flamenco 
dancer in the streets of Sevilla, or 
the Empire State Building reflected in 
a puddle.

What inspires you? 
The idea of living life from the heart, 
living to the fullest, and capturing 
that in beautiful, colorful images. 

Describe your personal style. 
I would say my focus is mostly on 
artful documentary portraiture that 
often has an otherworldly quality to it.

Your ultimate must-have. 
A 128GB CF card, so I rarely need to 
change cards. And, comfortable shoes ;)

What superpower would you have and why? 
Teleportation. I travel a lot and am 
always wishing I could travel more, 
I want to be everywhere and do
everything! There’s so much beauty to 
experience in the world!

What is next for you? 
I just returned from Peru with a 
newfound passion for 
the jungle, which is so alive and 
colorful and magical. I’m now working 
on several strategic ways of helping 
the Amazon and plan to return soon, 
camera in hand, ready to take a million 
photos.
