Somehow names Karl Lagerfeld and Vans don't go hand in hand, but so didn't Louis Vuitton and Supreme. Maybe LV's successful collaboration is what triggered uncle Karl to seal the deal with Vans. The project, arriving in early September, will feature both footwear and apparel styles. Vans’ iconic checkerboard pattern is set to receive a camouflage update. According to Women's Wear Daily, the collection includes remakes of six shoes, including the Old Skool laceless and Sk8-Hi laceless platform. Lagerfeld's influence is apparent in quilted leather Ks and a version of Vans' classic checkerboard pattern rendered with Lagerfeld's profile instead of plain old sqaures.
