Kanye West presents his second Adidas Fashion Show in New York #KanyeWest #Adidas #NYFW

Kanye West managed to add his second Kanye West X Adidas Originals Collection Fashion show the very last minute and anger a few designers. "We have been prepping for a year for this at considerable financial, labor- and commitment-cost to our company," Anne Bowen says. Bowen had to move her show to Thursday and filed a complaint with the Council of Fashion Designers of America Fashion Calendar.
"It's like we are David and he is Goliath. We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this." We hear you Anne!

Designer to watch Dubovitskaya Anna by Anna Dubovitskaya #NYFW

She is a perfectionist who is always striving for flawlessness and setting excessively high performance standards. Designer Anna Dubovitskaya meets with us in New York to introduce her line during New York Fashion Week.

J: Do you remember when you first became aware of fashion?

A: I've always been interested in art, photography and design. The interest eventually turned into business and I have created a brand of women's clothing.

J: Are you self taught or did you study fashion design?

A: Self taught , but never stop studying

J: How would you describe your personal style?

A: Casual chic.

J: What is the DNA of your brand?

A: Minimalism, laconic, easy cut.

J: Describe your Fall/Winter 2015 collection

A: Autumn / Winter collection 15/16is a mix of oriental culture, disco and street fashion today. The collection is rich in a variety of fabrics - from shiny brocade to sable, organza, silk and cashmere. It is also my first collection where I will introduce handcrafted hats. The main heroine of the collection is a mysterious Eastern princess East in the modern metropolis. She's trying to fit in and play by its rules, without losing its identity and natural beauty.

J: Who are some of the biggest celebrity fans of your brand?

A: I am always pleased that not only celebrities, but regularpeople choose to wear my work.

ART MEETS FASHION

Brands to watch during NYFW #NYFW

The New York fashion week is upon us and there isa lot happening. The Lincoln center is no more since CFDA and IMG took over. IMG shows will be taking place at Skylight at Moyanihan station and CFDA are spread out all over New York.
With Donna Karan stepping out as a chief designer and Aliza Licht signing off as @DKNYPRgirl, Public School's designers Dao-Yi Chao and Maxwell Osbourne are taking over this season's DKNY collection. It is one of the hottest shows to see as it is guaranteed to be filled with surprises.

Rosie Assoulin, the designer who transitioned from the one to watch to the one that everyone wants. With her close circle of friends such as Leandra Medine, Mira Duma, Lily Aldridge and more this is going to be one show not to miss.

We have our eyes on Wang. Since Alexander Wang's leave from Balenciaga , we expect this season to be extra special. His usual 5:00pm show is now moved to 9:00pm followed by the celebration bash. Party!

Quirky, easy and jam-packed with style Sandy Liang is another gem this season. It's everything we'll want to wear all season long.
