Louis Vuitton says Konnichiwa to Japan with Cruise 2018
Palm Springs, Monaco and now Kyoto, Japan. Louis Vuitton is packing its suitcases and traveling to the other end of the world for its cruise 2018 presentation. Creative director Nicolas Ghesquière shared the news on his Instagram this morning, quotes
“…Will be held in a gigantic woodland” in the space. “The place inspired me right away,” Ghesquière told Vogue exclusively.
Louis Vuitton opened it's first store in Tokyo in 1978 and collaborated with Japanese artists like Takashi Murakami, Rei Kawakubo, Yayoi Kusama and Hiroshi Fujiwara.
Ghesquière finds Japanese culture appealing and is experiementing by adding a futuristing twist to his latest designs. We can't wait to see what Cruise 2018 in Japan will bring.
