Born and raised in the small Tuscan city of Carrara designer Fabrizio Viti had the strong female presence in his family. He loved fashion dolls and ’70s TV shows. Perhaps combination of it all is what awakened his talent for shoe design. Fabrizio’s professional career blossomed quickly into luxury fashion industry and popular culture as he rose to become leading shoe designer at Gucci, then Prada, and in 2004, Louis Vuitton.

Last night San Francisco welcomed the designer in an intimate setting at Barneys San Francisco with a cocktail party. Hosted by Creative Ambassador-at-Large of the New York City-based clothing store Barneys, Simon Doonan, the event was attended by Silicon Valley “It Girls” Anne Vyalitsyna, our very own Founder/ Creative director JOLIEGAZETTE Juliet Belkin, as well as some of San Francisco’s fashionable Carolyn Chang, Alexis and Gisela Niedzelski, Emily Myers, Caroline Rooney and more. Guests had a wonderful opportunity to chat and admire the shoes. The Italian designer’s use of soft suedes and playful strap detailing lends itself to the delicately cool aesthetic of his creations.
