Where were you born? Athens, Greece

In one sentence what is unique about your work?

From the beginning, the whole point of HuffPost has been to take the sort of conversations found at water coolers and around dinner tables -- about politics and art and books and food -- and open them up and bring them online.

Why do you do what you do?

Bringing together people from different parts of my life and facilitating interesting conversations has always been part of my Greek DNA.

What inspires you?

My mother. “Don’t miss the moment” was one of her favorite sayings, and it embodied the philosophy of her life.

Describe your personal style.

I’m a big believer in repeats, and it’s one of my missions to make repeats cool!It would save women so much time and energy – which would mean more time and energy they can spend getting things done. Or sleeping. Women feel that they need to wear something new every single day, while men like Mark Zuckerberg can wear the same hoodie and jeans! So I purposefully will wear the same dresses over and over again (really, check my Instagram) because I love finding something that’s comfortable and I feel great in. And I always wear flats or kitten heels.

Your ultimate must-have.

Fresh’s Sugar Lychee Bath & Shower Gel and Seaberry Restorative Body Cream are must-haves for my nightly hot bath with Epsom salts – the centerpiece of my pre-bedtime ritual that helps me get ready for sleep.

What superpower would you have and why?

The ability to go to sleep instantly, since sleep is the superpower that fuels all our other super and non-super powers.

What is next for you?

We’re taking the Sleep Revolution College Tour to more than 50 campuses across America, drawing on the latest science to raise awareness and spark a national conversation about the importance of sleep and the dangers of sleep deprivation. To help students embrace sleep as a performance enhancer rather than something that gets in the way of achievement and success, we’ve partnered with major brands, including Sleep Number, JetBlue, Marriott, Jawbone, Cocomat, Spotify, Lands’ End, Fresh, Sleep Shepherd, Headspace, Marpac, Sheex, and others to host “sleep fairs” and slumber parties on campuses to give students tangible tools and products to learn better sleep habits and make small but transformational changes in their lives.
